My first post-grad apartment and a self-study in eclecticism- my design style of choice.
A mix-and-match in both furniture and decor works well in this architecturally nondescript space and authentically reflects my personality. Varying textures, earthen ceramics, and organic materials such as terracotta and bronze make up the core of my chosen decor while giving the space an expressive yet grounded appeal.
Throwaway goods find new life in this project. What was once a fractured cymbal now floats as a bronze medallion in the living room.
In the corner of the bedroom, a homemade loom hangs as repurposed artwork. The disordered, undulating texture of the ribbon and burst of blue of this standalone piece adds a necessary eclecticism to the apartment.
